KBI believes youth can change the world through their words and actions. To facilitate student achievement and support its mission to ensure universal primary education in Kroo Bay, KBI is pleased to offer Kroo Bay Club charters and internships to world-changing students.
Kroo Bay Clubs
Want to support children in need no further from your school?
KBI offers students the chance to charter a unique student-led organization at their school. We call these vital organizations Kroo Bay Clubs, and they are essential in our war on extreme poverty through the hope of education.
Start a Kroo Bay Club and support high-quality education for children in need by:

Internships
KBI offers two unpaid internships each semester to experienced students enthusiastic about their career field and the work we do. These include:
The Marketing and Design Internship
Responsibilities for Marketing and Design Interns include:
Helping to market and establish Kroo Bay Clubs at high schools
Designing pamphlets for events KBI holds
Attending conferences and workshops with board members
Collaborating with the Public Relations and Advocacy Intern to increase KBI's visibility in the community
The goal specific to this intern would be to secure the material support of at least three student organizations for KBI in the North Texas area by the end of her or his internship.The ideal candidate is willing to be creative, can demonstrate superb organizational skills, and shows enthusiasm for delivering the right message in new and sometimes challenging environments. Candidates should expect to work at least 20 hours per week on deadline-driven projects at their own pace.
Application Deadlines for Fall and Spring: August 20 and January 20
The Public Relations and Advocacy Internship
Responsibilities for Public Relations and Advocacy Interns include:
Writing press releases and media advisories
Maintaining and updating media lists
Regularly updating KBI's blog with news about the organization
Collaborating with the Marketing and Design Intern to increase KBI's visibility in the community
The goal specific to this intern would be to secure media coverage of the organization with at least one publication in the North Texas area by the end of her or his internship.
The ideal candidate is media-savvy, possesses strong writing abilities, and works well in semi-autonomous settings.
Candidates should expect to work at least 20 hours per week on deadline-driven projects at their own pace.
